Book Review :
‘Sands of Time’ by Neelam Saxena Chandra is collection of 12 short stories on the moments which every women lives in and go through pain from birth to old age .But we women never lose hope to raise up again .We are raised up like a fully blossomed flower only to become a Rani Lakshmi Bai in true sense of perception . In this process we has to face so many obstacles i.e. harassment from our kadoos boss in office , in-laws emotional harassment from brothers to do so odd job and emotional blackmailing from our parents side as they try too palm us off to XYZ strange without knowing our apprehensions and fear in this regard.
Though our society has become a little broad minded , but still there are so many places where we find people having orthodox approach towards ‘Naari Shkati’ and the Author Neelam has penned down women′emotion in a authentic way .Each story has a hidden meaning to it .Each story starts with a beautiful poem that portray a particular women′s emotion .
